Why AI capability              matters now

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant trend, it’s already reshaping how organisations operate, innovate, and compete. In Australia, the need to keep pace with AI is growing rapidly, with an estimated 300,000 additional tech workers required by the end of the decade. For businesses, the message is clear: investing in AI capability isn’t optional, it’s essential.

AI is becoming embedded in day-to-day business operations from decision-making tools and customer service chatbots to predictive analytics and supply chain automation. The challenge facing organisations isn’t just about acquiring the latest tools; it’s about ensuring their workforce has the skills to use them effectively and responsibly.

 SHORT COURSES

Short courses, are usually offered online in either self-paced or scheduled formats.  While most range from 3 and 12 hours in duration, some courses offer more in-depth content with assessments that contribute to professional accreditation.

MASTERCLASSES

Masterclasses can be short, targeted 1-2 hour online webinars focused on a specific topic, ideal for gaining insights or techniques to support your professional development.  They can also be 1-day workshops designed to support professional accreditation.

MICROCREDENTIALS

Microcredentials are short, assessed courses that often carry academic credit, along with a certified digital badge as evidence of acquiring specific skills or knowledge.  These courses can be completed as standalone or may be stacked towards a formal qualification. Our course pages will outline available credit and how microcredentials align with subjects or degrees, helping you explore potential pathways.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATES

Professional Certificates are University awards consisting of two subjects and are eligible for postgraduate FEE-HELP. They can be undertaken as a standalone qualification or may be nested into Graduate Certificates, Diplomas, or Master’s degrees, offering a way to experience postgraduate education without the full commitment of time or investment. Note that these shorter awards are not aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework.

BOOTCAMPS

Bootcamps are intensive, hands-on courses designed to build specific skills over a short period - typically three to six months, depending on whether it's offered full time or part-time. They're ideal for rapid upskilling in high-demand areas.

Real Feedback, Real Results

“I finished my training in 1998, worked for a while, then had a break from nursing for around 13 years after I started my family. The course [Re-entry to Practice (RN)] itself, I absolutely loved it. I loved the flexibility to do it online in my own time, and if I had a quiet period at work, then I could watch some lectures and take some notes. I now work at a medical and skin clinic in Heidelberg in Melbourne, which I love. I wish I had done it years ago.”

"It's a great option because there are a lot of people out there who think they're too old to go back to uni. But I'm doing a full-time job and a uni degree. It's definitely the best pathway for someone if they want to further their learning."
