Become a laughter, resilience and wellbeing facilitator. Learn how to incorporate humour, laughter therapies and positive psychology into your practice in clinical, educational, and training environments.

You’ll learn:

In this course you will:

  • Explore the history and physiology of laughter and humour and how this positively effects day-to-day personal and professional life
  • Gain insight into the empirical research in humour and non-humour-based laughter therapies as well as Positive Psychology
  • Discover diverse applications of laughter for wellbeing programs in education, training and clinical settings
  • Learn about the two main non-humour-based laughter modes: Laughter Wellness and Laughter Yoga
  • Develop strategies to cultivate a laughter mindset and how this relates to improved health, psychological resilience, increased happiness and client satisfaction
  • Explore how this skillset offers a new dimension to self-care practices including gratitude, mindfulness and self-compassion
  • Complete Laughter, Resilience and Wellbeing (LRW) facilitator training

Your study experience

The course is delivered online over a 6 week period (including assessment time), and the total expected time commitment for this course is up to 80 hours.

Can payment of a course fee be made in instalments?

No, course fees need to be paid in full before you can commence the course.

I cannot pay by credit card. Are there other payment options available?

I have paid the fee for a short course. When will I have access to the course?  

Access to courses is generally available two weeks in advance of the scheduled course start date, or as advised in the registration confirmation email.  Course materials are made available via our Learning Management System (LMS) for which you will be provided with your username and initial password.

I need to defer my registration. How do I go about this? 

Prior to your course commencing, you may request a deferral of your registration to the next available course date, by contacting executive_professional_education@latrobe.edu.au.
